or the Horologion of Andronikos Kyrrhestes
Located in the Roman Agora in Athens is an octagonal clock tower built between 150 and 50 BC. The tower is made of Pentelic marble and is 12 meters tall and 8 meters wide. It is thought to be the worlds first meteorological station. It also functioned as a horologion or “timepiece”.
